Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • BCLS certification is required.
  • NBCOT certification or certification eligible is required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, works independently, works as a team member

Nice To Haves

  • Will consider offering onsite training for RTR candidates, NBCOT certification required within 2 years of employment

Responsibilities

  • Perform cast and splint application, cast reapplication and cast/splint removal under the direction and by order of Physician.
  • Provide written information for patient and family regarding cast/splints.
  • Perform proper DME fitting with appropriate written instructions.
  • Remove sutures or staples from superficial incisions after assessed by provider.
  • Perform simple non-sterile and sterile dressings.
  • Monitors and maintains all orthopedic equipment and supplies.
  • Cleans rooms and instruments according to OSHA and TJC standards.
  • Assists with retrieval and checking of prior imaging studies.
  • Assists patient with ambulation and transfers.
  • Welcome Patients to the practice.
  • Ensure all related reports, labs and information is filed is available in patients' medical records prior to their appointment.
  • Prepares patients for examination, including suture/staple removal.
  • Acquire Vitals and accurately document in EMR.
  • Interview patient for allergies, medications, and history.
  • Assist the physician in the exam room.
  • Prepare Injections/supplies using sterile technique.
  • Provide patient education for care after visit.
  • Maintain equipment and stock exam rooms.
  • Assist with patient check-out.
  • Provides patients with accurate information when answering questions and concerns.
  • Complete referrals accurately and appropriately.
  • Acquire radiographic images using ALARA when licensed according to state regulation.
  • Prepare patients for routine examinations and procedures and set up rooms.
  • Collect and record patient data including vitals signs, basic information about the presenting and previous conditions.
  • Performs order entry of labs, x-rays, etc.
  • Other technical or administrative tasks as assigned.
  • Adheres to company policies and procedures.
  • Maintains patient records and protects patient confidentiality.
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to the mission and values of the company.
