About The Position

Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is a physician led 500+ provider multispecialty group seeking a residency-trained orthopedic surgeon to join a busy surgical practice. This position requires a proactive approach to practice development for the population of Idaho and its neighboring states. Additional emphasis of this practice is to advance the knowledge of foot and ankle orthopedics through research and education. This growing practice provides a full range of orthopedic services focusing on the foot and ankle. From total joint replacement to helping athletes recover from injury and return to sport, the focus is always on the patient. Requires Idaho and Oregon medical licensure to support the health system's regional surgical needs and programs across all the communities served. Schedule: Typical clinic schedule M-F includes a minimum of 32 patient contact hours per week, plus procedures, rounding and consults. Requirements

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
Successful completion of ACGME or CanERA accredited orthopedic residency program.
Board certification through the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS) or the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery (AOBOS) - or obtain within 3 years.
Member in good standing of the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society
Obtain Idaho & Oregon medical licensure and granting of privileges at SARMC other health system affiliated hospitals as needed;
Valid controlled substance registration with Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
Willingness to take general orthopedic call.
This position is split between our Boise and Nampa Clinics and will primarily support general orthopedic call in Nampa.
