Orthopedic - PRN NP/PA
About The Position
Atrium Health invites Physician Assistants and Acute Care Nurse Practitioners to apply for a PRN Orthopedic APP opportunity supporting Orthopedic services at our Randolph Road location. This PRN role provides flexible coverage for daytime, weekend, and after-hours Orthopedic services across multiple care settings. The Orthopedic PRN APP will collaborate closely with Orthopedic surgeons, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered musculoskeletal care. Position Overview & Responsibilities The Orthopedic PRN APP will support Orthopedic services across a variety of clinical environments, including: • Orthopedic clinic coverage • Operating room support as assigned • Orthopedic urgent care services • Community medicine coverage and specialty Orthopedic events Responsibilities include patient evaluations, follow-up care, treatment planning, procedural and perioperative support, and collaboration with the care team to ensure continuity and quality of care. Scheduling is flexible and based on departmental and patient needs.
Requirements
- Active North Carolina licensure (PA or Acute Care NP)
- Must possess or be eligible for DEA licensure
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program required
- NCCPA certification (PA) or national board certification (Acute Care NP) preferred
