Requirements
- Bachelor, Master and/or Doctorate degree in physical therapy from an accredited university/program
- Physical Therapy Licensure of PT in the State of Texas
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to maintain that demeanor when dealing with difficult, impatient, or upset people
- Passionate about helping people feel better, get stronger and stay out of pain
Nice To Haves
- Outpatient orthopedic experience, including exercise, manual-based skills, and sports rehabilitation, is preferred
Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and carry out individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain, improve or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain and prevent physical dysfunction in patients
- Focus on the evaluation of strength, balance, range of motion, coordination, endurance, and posture of each patient
- Evaluate effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit
- Provides and/or recommends equipment or supplies for home use and gives instruction of an “in-home” treatment program to facilitate rehabilitation to promote independence of care
- Confers and communicates with referring physicians and other appropriate personnel through the use of progress notes, letters, evaluations, meetings, and direct contact concerning the proposed course, progress, and discharge plan of each patient
