Requirements
- CDA or RDA
- No previous experience required but must have Dental Assistant certification
Nice To Haves
- X-ray certification is a plus
Responsibilities
- Work chair-side with Orthodontist, perform patient care, and general laboratory duties
- Preparing and taking patient molds
- Changing out rubber bands, wires, and brackets
- Adjusting fit of clear aligners such as Invisalign
- Take and process dental radiographs (x-rays)
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
- Teach patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing, and nutritional counseling)
- Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment
- Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures
