As an Orthodontic Assistant, you will assist the Orthodontist with patients to ensure the highest quality of care is provided. You’ll perform clinical and technical procedures under the direct supervision of a licensed Orthodontist while preparing patient operatories, maintaining equipment, and supporting the doctor during examinations and orthodontic treatment.

Requirements

3 years of orthodontic assisting experience preferred
Familiarity with orthodontic appliances, procedures, and terminology
A patient-focused, team-oriented attitude and strong communication skills
Reliability on Thursdays and Fridays

Responsibilities

Assist the Orthodontist during exams and treatments, ensuring patient comfort and efficient procedures.
Prepare operatories, sterilize equipment, and support clinical workflows to maximize efficiency.
Perform orthodontic procedures such as placing/removing wires, coil springs, bands, and retainers under direct supervision.
Conduct digital scans and assist in fabricating customized appliances and retainers.
Educate patients on treatment plans, oral hygiene, and appliance care to ensure they are fully informed and confident.
Record treatment notes accurately and collaborate with the team to deliver outstanding care throughout the patient’s journey.
