About The Position

The Organizational Development Consultant supports Retail Operations by strengthening the development of individuals, teams, and leaders across the organization. This role drives performance management, leadership development, succession planning, and team effectiveness, while leading the design and execution of competency frameworks, career pathing, and role‑based development. A primary goal is to build a strong leadership pipeline and foster a high‑performance culture through development strategies. The consultant adds value by translating business needs into practical solutions that strengthen engagement, readiness, and long‑term growth. This position reports to the Manager of Organizational Development and serves as a strategic partner within the Organizational Development and HR structure.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic development partner to Retail Operations, supporting leadership capability, succession planning, and operational effectiveness
  • Coach and advise leaders on performance management, leadership, engagement, and change
  • Lead succession planning efforts to build leadership readiness and bench strength
  • Design and execute competency frameworks, career pathing, and role‑based development
  • Foster leadership and team effectiveness through assessments, development plans, and high-potential initiatives
  • Partner with HR on onboarding and early development experiences for new hires
  • Apply internal and external resources to individual and team development priorities
  • Facilitate and oversee development programs, workshops, and stakeholder meetings
  • Build trusted, collaborative relationships with HR partners and key stakeholders
