About The Position

This Order Selector role is responsible for completing orders by selecting products from warehouse racks and assembling, palletizing, and/or shrink-wrapping products/pallets for customer orders. An Order Selector may be required to use a variety of powered industrial equipment and may work in dry or cooled product areas, including refrigerated and freezer compartments. Requirements

  • Must perform assigned tasks accurately while meeting production standards in a fast-paced warehouse operation.
  • Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment in accordance with Company safety policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work in multi-temperature areas as assigned (e.g. freezer, coolers, dry conditions).
  • Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Prior order selecting experience preferred.
  • Prior experience operating power industrial equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Locate and lift cases, boxes, bags, and/or pallets of dry groceries, frozen foods, dairy products, produce, poultry, fish, beef, pork and related products in specific quantities for delivery to customers by using order sheets or an audio headset.
  • Operate powered industrial equipment (e.g. single and double pallet jacks).
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including conducting inspections of powered industrial equipment using a safety checklist.
  • Report damaged products, quality issues, and out-of-stock/low volume products.
  • Utilize proper wrapping techniques to ensure safety of product to prevent damages.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
