About The Position

J&J Truck Bodies & Trailers is seeking an order processing specialist who is responsible for ensuring customer orders are accurately reviewed, prepared, and released to production. This role acts as a liaison between sales, engineering, purchasing, and the shop by managing order documentation, facilitating pre-build meetings, and maintaining accurate work orders throughout the build process. Contract Review: Review customer quotes and sales orders for accuracy and completeness. Verify specifications, pricing, options, and delivery requirements. Identify discrepancies, missing information, or conflicts before production release. Coordinate with sales, engineering, and management to resolve issues. Ensure that approved documentation is finalized before creating a work order. Pre-Build Meeting Support: Prepare and distribute order details for pre-build meetings. Present key job information, including specifications, engineering notes, and timeline and delivery expectations. Document meeting outcomes and action items. Communicate updates or changes resulting from the meeting to all attendees. Work Order Management: Create, release, and maintain accurate work orders in the ERP system. Ensure labor routing, materials, and operations align with approved specifications. Update work order as changes occur during production. Monitor work order status and coordinate production on issues. Assist with work order closeout to ensure accuracy of labor hours and costs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent with relevant work experience in a field with a similar job description.

  • Previous experience with manufacturing, engineering, purchasing, logistics, or data entry is desired.
