LOCATION: Rochester, NY SUMMARY: An Order Management Specialist oversees the entire lifecycle of customer orders, from initiation to delivery, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and high customer satisfaction. Key duties include processing orders, managing inventory, coordinating with logistics, and resolving customer demands.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; Bachelor’s degree in business or logistics is preferred; and one to three years related experience and/or training in customer service, logistics or data entry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Technical Skills – Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g. AS400, Radius, Work Front, Power BI) and MS Office (especially Excel).
  • Soft Skills – Strong attention to detail, multitasking abilities, and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Responsibilities

  • Order Processing: Enter, track, and process customer orders accurately into AS400/Radius systems.
  • Customer Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for order status, inquiries, and issue resolution.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with logistics, sales, manufacturing, and warehouse teams to ensure timely delivery.
  • Inventory & Logistics: Monitor stock levels and manage returns, exchanges, or damages.
  • Reporting: Generate reports, monitor metrics, and analyze order trends.
  • Other Duties as Assigned
