The Order Fulfillment Associate, also known as an Omni Experience Ambassador, is responsible for performing general warehouse activities. This includes pulling merchandise from a pick list, moving merchandise from the sales floor to a staging area, using a handheld scanner to verify merchandise counts, updating merchandise locations, and operating equipment. The role involves working across all digital initiatives such as BOPIC (Buy Online Pick Up In Club), Curbside, Express Pay, and Ship from Club. Team members are expected to carry out job functions and responsibilities as assigned, support club policies and compliance, act with honesty and integrity, prioritize member needs, ensure a safe and positive environment, embrace inclusion and diversity, collaborate effectively, move with speed and agility, innovate, adapt, and maintain a friendly and positive attitude. The position requires maintaining a clean and organized environment, particularly within the OMNI Space and bin storage, and understanding how to access and interpret production and/or financial performance reports for the department. BJ’s Wholesale Club, headquartered in Marlborough, Massachusetts, operates over 250 clubs, nearly 200 BJ’s Gas® stations, and eight distribution centers across 21 states, serving more than 8 million members.

Requirements

  • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of this job.

Responsibilities

  • Organize members orders used based on gold standards.
  • Regularly clean and maintain storage bins based on safety standards.
  • Understand how to access and read production and/or financial performance reporting for your department.

  • Process member purchases in a fast, courteous, and friendly manner by pulling merchandise from a pick list.
  • Utilize a handheld scanner device (RF) device to pick orders from the sales floor.
  • Use handheld scanner device (RF) to verify merchandise.
  • Move merchandise from sales floor to staging area.
  • Communicate problems with inventory and/or equipment and communicate expired or short-dated items included on pick list.
  • Communicate with club team when merchandise needs to be replenished.
  • Work with team to have merchandise pulled from reserve area, when possible, to avoid sales floor replenishment.
  • Ensure all orders are picked in a timely manner to meet all productivity requirements.
  • Work with a high level of urgency to ensure deadlines are met up to and including key performance indicators based on individual performance.
  • Follow operational efficiencies, processes and productivity standards with adherence to established SOP for BOPIC, Curbside and Ship from Club.
  • Take responsibility for individual performance and work with club leadership on individual performance when metrics are not met.
  • Securely package the order in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure the SFC area is neat, clean, and organized.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties, including removing trash and cardboard from the work area.
  • Handle damaged goods and spoiled products in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Process returns to the club and makes determination on how to handle (via DDR or Membership desk).
  • Maintain all club policies and procedures, including adhering to proper dress code standards.
  • Required to meet OMNI productivity expectations regarding service level agreements (SLA’s), performance metrics and goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.
