About The Position

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking an Order Fulfillment Associate to join their team. This role is integral to the company's operations, which is powered by over 30,000 team members dedicated to helping families save. The position involves performing general warehouse activities such as pulling and moving merchandise, using handheld scanners for verification and location updates, and operating equipment. The Omni Experience Ambassador will be actively involved in all digital initiatives, including BOPIC (Buy Online, Pick Up In Club), Curbside, Express Pay, and Ship from Club. Team members are expected to uphold club policies, ensure a safe and positive environment for both members and colleagues, embrace diversity, collaborate effectively, and maintain a friendly and positive attitude while striving for service excellence and adherence to club standards.

Requirements

  • Ability to perform general warehouse activities including pulling merchandise, moving merchandise, using handheld scanners, and operating equipment.
  • Ability to work within all digital initiatives including BOPIC, Curbside, Express Pay and Ship from Club.
  • Ability to communicate problems with inventory and/or equipment.
  • Ability to ensure all orders are picked in a timely manner and meet productivity requirements.
  • Ability to follow operational efficiencies, processes and productivity standards with adherence to established SOP for BOPIC, Curbside and Ship from Club.
  • Ability to securely package orders in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Ability to perform general housekeeping duties.
  • Ability to handle damaged goods and spoiled products in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Ability to process returns.
  • Adherence to all club policies and procedures, including proper dress code standards.
  • Ability to meet OMNI productivity expectations regarding service level agreements (SLA’s), performance metrics and goals.
  • Regular, predictable, full attendance.

  • Previous order pulling experience.
  • Big box/wholesale retail experience.
  • Previous RF scanner experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general warehouse activities including pulling merchandise from a pick list, moving merchandise from the sales floor to the staging area, using handheld scanners to verify merchandise counts and update locations, and operating equipment.
  • Work within all digital initiatives including BOPIC, Curbside, Express Pay, and Ship from Club.
  • Process member purchases in a fast, courteous, and friendly manner by pulling merchandise from a pick list.
  • Utilize a handheld scanner device (RF) to pick orders from the sales floor and verify merchandise.
  • Communicate problems with inventory and/or equipment, and report expired or short-dated items included on pick lists.
  • Communicate with the club team when merchandise needs to be replenished and work to pull merchandise from reserve areas when possible.
  • Ensure all orders are picked in a timely manner to meet productivity requirements and deadlines, working with a high level of urgency.
  • Follow operational efficiencies, processes, and productivity standards with adherence to established SOPs for BOPIC, Curbside, and Ship from Club.
  • Take responsibility for individual performance and collaborate with club leadership if metrics are not met.
  • Securely package orders in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure the Ship from Club (SFC) area is neat, clean, and organized.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties, including removing trash and cardboard from the work area.
  • Handle damaged goods and spoiled products in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Process returns to the club and determine appropriate handling (via DDR or Membership desk).
  • Maintain all club policies and procedures, including adhering to proper dress code standards.
  • Meet OMNI productivity expectations regarding service level agreements (SLAs), performance metrics, and goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment within the OMNI Space, including bin storage and regular cleaning based on safety standards.
  • Understand how to access and read production and/or financial performance reporting for the department.
  • Deliver service excellence through all points of contact, resolving and de-escalating member concerns.
  • Commit daily to GOLD Member Standards (Greet, Anticipate, Appreciate) and Fast, Friendly Full, Fresh, Clean Club Standards.
  • Ensure regular, predictable, and full attendance.
