About The Position

As an Order Expediter at Big Bolt LLC, you will play a critical role in ensuring customer orders ship on time according to agreed-upon lead times. This full-time position, located in Bloomingdale, IL, involves reporting directly to the VP of Sales. You will be responsible for coordinating across internal departments throughout the manufacturing process, proactively identifying at-risk orders, and maintaining clear communication with both sales representatives and customers. Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Customer-focused mindset with a passion for satisfaction and follow-through
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Working knowledge of ERP and CRM systems
  • Associate’s degree (Business Administration or similar preferred)
  • Eagerness to learn the industry and grow within the organization

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of customer service experience
  • Prior experience in the fastener or manufacturing industry

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with all departments to track work orders throughout the manufacturing process
  • Use Big Bolt’s ERP system to monitor work order status on the shop floor
  • Communicate with Purchasing regarding all outside service inquiries
  • Proactively communicate with sales representatives regarding orders at risk of becoming past due
  • Provide customers with timely and accurate order status updates
  • Act as a central point of contact to ensure expectations are clearly communicated and managed
  • Support continuous improvement efforts and assist with additional responsibilities as needed
