Providence Hall is seeking a dynamic and motivated Orchestra Director to build and grow a comprehensive orchestra program within our small school setting. This is an exciting opportunity for an educator who is passionate about program development, recruitment, and fostering a strong orchestral culture across grade levels. Initial enrollment may be modest, with significant opportunity for growth. The teacher may be assigned additional elective courses in early years as the orchestra program develops. As enrollment grows and the orchestra program becomes self-sustaining, elective assignments may be replaced with additional orchestra sections, chamber orchestra or advanced ensembles, music related electives, or other elective courses aligned with the teacher’s endorsements and interests. Success in recruitment and retention will directly influence expanded music offerings. Ideal Candidate Profile We are looking for an educator who is enthusiastic about building something meaningful from the ground up, understands the developmental differences between junior high and high school students, is proactive in recruitment and community engagement, is adaptable in a shared space teaching environment, and sees long term potential and growth in a developing program.
