About The Position
Oral Surgery Surgical Assistant North Aurora, IL Aurora Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is seeking a skilled and compassionate Full-Time Surgical Assistant to join our team! As a Surgical Assistant, you will work closely with our oral surgeon and other team members to provide exceptional care to our patients as well as perform light administrative duties. We have a small team so each of us are cross-trained to help in every department. Aurora Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery: 98 Miller Drive Suite 104 North Aurora, IL. 60542 Schedule: Monday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm Tuesday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm Thursday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm Friday 7:00 am - 2:00 pm Compensation: $22 - $26 per hour (Based on experience)
Requirements
- Must be friendly and be able to maintain a smile and positive attitude in high-pressured environments.
- Superior organizational skills and be able to take initiative.
- Must be a team player and work well with others.
- Ability to multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize tasks.
- Reliable transportation.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 6 months surgical experience or relevant experience in a dental/medical profession.
Responsibilities
- Participate in monitoring patient’s vital statistics during surgery.
- Review pre-op and post-op instructions with patients.
- Review patient health history and updates via the practice management software.
- Acquire diagnostic x-rays.
- Prepare and break down surgical tray and operatories
