Requirements

Active Washington, DC Dental Assistant license (required)
Minimum 1 year of oral surgery assisting experience (required)
CPR/BLS certification
Experience working in a surgical or sedation environment
Strong attention to detail and ability to stay calm in fast-paced settings
Reliable, professional, and team-focused

Nice To Haves

DAANCE certification
Specialty dental or oral surgery background

Responsibilities

Chairside assisting during oral surgery procedures, including extractions, implants, bone grafting, and sedation cases
Preparing and breaking down surgical trays and operatories
Assisting with patient monitoring during IV sedation
Maintaining sterilization and infection control protocols
Supporting patients pre-op and post-op with clear communication and compassion
Taking dental radiographs and assisting with digital imaging
Keeping surgical days efficient, organized, and patient-focused
