About The Position

Assist the oral surgeon during medical procedures. Assist in preparation and set-up of for surgical procedures in the office and hospital operating rooms. Monitor patients and assists with general anesthesia and IV sedation procedures in hospital and outpatient office settings. Discuss post-operative instructions for care and management with the patient. Relay post-operative complications/questions to surgeon. Maintain surgical equipment.

Requirements

Dental Anest Asst Natl Cert credentialed from the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
Dental Assistant obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association OR American Red Cross accepted.
High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
