Candidate Profile: We are looking for a motivated and reliable Surgical & Anesthesia Assistant to join our oral surgery team. Experience in a dental or medical setting is helpful but not required. The ideal candidate is organized, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment. Schedule & Practice Details: Monday–Friday schedule availability required Standard schedule is four 10-hour days; flexibility may occasionally be required Typical clinic hours are 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m., depending on the surgical schedule Must be willing to travel between our three office locations: Lakewood, Denver, and Littleton. Requirements

  • Six (6) or more months of practical experience as a dental assistant.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Quick learner with problem solving skills
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Technical and troubleshooting skills for software applications used for charting, patient records, scheduling, etc.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the desire for professional growth.
  • Be organized and possess a superior knowledge of dentistry and dental terminology.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of a CODA-accredited dental assisting program (Preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the doctor during oral surgery procedures such as extractions, implants, grafting, and other surgical treatments
  • Supporting IV sedation and anesthesia procedures, including patient monitoring, documentation, and room preparation
  • Preparing and turning over surgical rooms between patients
  • Maintaining sterilization protocols for surgical instruments and equipment
  • Assisting with pre-operative and post-operative patient education
  • Helping with treatment plans, surgical consents, and clinical charting
  • Supporting inventory organization for surgical supplies and medications
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient clinical environment
  • Assisting the team in emergency preparedness and safety protocols
