Peloton has a unique opportunity for an experience Oracle ERP Cloud Tax Lead Consultant to play a hands-on role in a high growth practice area.

Requirements

  • BS or BA degree in Accounting, Finance, Technology, or equivalent. (CPA or Tax-specific certification is a major plus).
  • 8 to 10 years of experience in Oracle ERP Projects, with a minimum of 2 end-to-end implementations specifically focused on Oracle Cloud Tax.
  • Deep hands-on configuration experience in Oracle Fusion Tax, as well as the modules it integrates with: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable.
  • Experience integrating Oracle Cloud with Avalara.
  • Strong understanding of how tax configuration depends on and impacts Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Order-to-Cash (O2C) workstreams, including Tax Determination Services (Vertex/Thomson Reuters/Avalara integrations).
  • Strong understanding of global tax regimes (e.g., US Sales & Use Tax, VAT, GST, Withholding Tax) and their relationship to the subledgers.
  • Excellent analytical skills, particularly in reconciling tax accounts and troubleshooting tax engine rules.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain complex tax logic to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • External Tax Engines: Experience integrating Oracle Cloud with third-party tax engines like Vertex or ONESOURCE.
  • Tax Reporting: Experience with Oracle Cloud BI Publisher and OTBI to create customized tax registers and audit reports.
  • Project Accounting: Experience with Oracle Project Costing and how tax is applied to project-related expenditures.
  • Certifications: Oracle Cloud Financials or Oracle Cloud Tax implementation certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Developing an understanding of a client’s current tax compliance landscape and developing future-state recommendations for automated tax calculation and reporting.
  • Recommending roadmaps to close gaps in tax determination and developing high-level implementation plans for Oracle Fusion Tax (Indirect Tax).
  • Gathering and analyzing complex global business requirements, including nexus, tax registrations, and specific jurisdictional tax rules.
  • Aligning business requirements with Oracle "Best Practices" to implement a technical solution that minimizes manual tax adjustments and audit risk.
  • Defining and refining tax-specific business processes, such as tax-only adjustments, reverse charges, and tax reporting reconciliations.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of Peloton’s internal tax automation accelerators and intellectual property.
