Peraton is seeking an Application DBA. The Application Database Administrator (DBA) will perform the following duties, but not limited too: Ensures optimal performance, integrity, and availability of database systems throughout their lifecycle to support VLER and SOES applications. Responsibilities include managing and organizing incoming data, monitoring database performance, and implementing data quality controls to address and resolve issues. The DBA designs, documents, and maintains database schemas, scripts, and technical specifications while performing configuration, replication, and maintenance tasks. Key duties also involve conducting performance tuning, managing data recovery and migration efforts, and leading impact analysis for database changes. The DBA coordinates with stakeholders to plan and execute data corrections, supports troubleshooting of database and application issues, and provides ad hoc transactional analysis and reporting. Additionally, the DBA produces and reviews system documentation, monitors error metrics, develops data quality sweeps, and ensures adherence to data quality standards. The role also supports database modernization efforts by adapting to new technologies and ensuring compliance with the organization’s evolving requirements. In collaboration with the Data Quality Engineer, the Database Administrator will identify, isolate, research, and resolve data quality issues. Together they will design and develop data quality control measures that adhere to established agency data governance policies, submit proposed data quality control measures to DMDC for approval, implement approved measures, and document all changes
