About The Position

The Operating Room Transport Technician supports the daily operations of Surgical Services by assisting with patient transport, room turnover, and equipment handling. This role helps ensure efficient workflow, safety, and cleanliness within the operating room environment while supporting high-quality patient care.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of biohazard safety and infection control practices.
• Ability to work independently and follow directions.
• The OR Tech demonstrates strong problem-solving abilities, effective verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work independently.
• They are dependable, adaptable, and attentive to detail, with a strong commitment to infection control, teamwork, and patient safety.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in an operating room, surgical services, or hospital setting.
• Familiarity with sterile processing or surgical equipment handling.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to and from Surgical Services safely and efficiently.
• Assist with operating room turnover between cases.
• Retrieve and prepare hospital beds and stretchers for surgical patients.
• Clean, maintain, and store stretchers, beds, and surgical equipment.
• Communicate with other departments to meet surgical service needs.
• Follow dress code, infection control, and safety standards.
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to changing assignments.
