About The Position

The OR Surgery Scheduler is responsible for facilitating and coordinating the Perioperative Surgical Services Operating Room Schedule. This role supports the fiscal and time management objectives of Perioperative Surgical Services by coordinating clinical and administrative services through effective interactions with the healthcare team.

Requirements

• CPR, Basic Life Support
• Minimum of two (2) years of previous patient scheduling/registration work experience in a healthcare setting
• Strong customer service skills and patient/customer centered focus in positive manner in all situations
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a Level I Trauma Center
• Four (4) years experience in OR scheduling

Responsibilities

• Facilitates and coordinates the Perioperative Surgical Services Operating Room Schedule
• Supports fiscal and time management objectives of Perioperative Surgical Services by seeking and coordinating clinical and administrative services through effective interactions with the health care team
• Under the direction of the Clinical Coordinator, assigns surgical cases based on established block/priority times
