About The Position

I. Position Summary: OR Analyst focuses on the information systems processes for the clinical information system in Surgical Services. Coordinates and executes changes to the clinical information system. Interfaces with operations and education personnel to assess systems needs and communicates those needs to appropriate information personnel for resolution and improvements. The OR Analyst works closely with the Material Specialist to insure charges are accurate. The OR Analyst may rotate to functions in the Operation Room and will perform those duties, for which he/she has demonstrated competency. The OR Analyst manages invoices, performs monthly reporting, and other delegated duties consistent with the scope of practice and functions within the philosophy and overall plan of care at NSMC. Requirements

  • Experience in a healthcare setting preferred
  • Good organizational skills and ability to work independently.
  • Familiar with clinical information systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of surgical procedures and implants.
  • Demonstrated organizati9nal and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of purchasing systems preferred.
  • Appropriate judgment and problem solving skills (critical thinking).
  • Positive and professional communication skills.
