About The Position

BJC HealthCare System is hiring a Full-Time OR Advanced Modality Technologist for Barnes Jewish Hospital - Main Floor Plaza West Tower- General Radiology (St. Louis, MO)

Position Details:
Day Shift: 4 days per week (Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri - Hours: 8:30am to 7pm)
No CALL!!!
NO weekends!!!
Operate C-Arms and O-Arms in the operating room
Use portable x-ray machines to obtain films for intraops or closures in the operating room
Occasionally use Radlink in the operating room & assist in providing coverage to Portable x-ray team and/or ED x-ray team when needed
Advanced Modality Technologists Pay
Offer cross training in MSK special procedures and Cardiac Cath Lab (if interested)

You will be working with an organization on the leading edge of diagnostic radiology. In fact, our radiology department is regarded as one of the top five in the United States, and performs over 453,000 diagnostic imaging examinations annually.
Performs diagnostic imaging procedures in at least one advanced imaging modality (defined as Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Interventional, Mammography, Bone Density, Cardiac Catheterization) on adults and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment, and quality control.

Requirements

• Associate degree or higher in related field
• Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography - R.T.(R)
• No experience required!!!

• IEMA - Illinois only, excl MRI
• RTR,CT,MR,M,BD,CI,VI,RCIS,RCES

Nice To Haves

• Level 1 or 2 trauma experience and/or OR experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Operate C-Arms and O-Arms in the operating room
• Use portable x-ray machines to obtain films for intraops or closures in the operating room
• Occasionally use Radlink in the operating room & assist in providing coverage to Portable x-ray team and/or ED x-ray team when needed
• Prepares patient and equipment for procedures.
• Performs studies independently, in on-call situations, portable exams, and other site as required by work area.
