About The Position

Shasta Cascade Heath Centers is looking to welcome a dedicated and compassionate optometrist to launch and lead its first in-house eye care service offering in beautiful rural Northern California. With the only local optometrist retiring soon, patient demand is high, creating a rare opportunity to step into an established area and make an impact. Requirements

Optometry license in the state of California
Doctor of Optometry degree

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive eye exams
Diagnose and manage ocular diseases
Prescribe corrective lenses
Co-manage surgical cases in collaboration with ophthalmology
Play a key role in leading and expanding the newly established Optometry Department, helping to shape its services and impact within the community
Take part in provider meetings and support community outreach initiatives that align with SCHC’s mission
