About The Position

EYEcenter Optometric is seeking two full-time Optometrists to join their team in the Sacramento area. Founded in 1960, EYEcenter Optometric's mission is to provide personalized, distinctive eye care using cutting-edge technologies and a caring team. The practice has expanded to multiple locations in Northern California, including Citrus Heights, Folsom, Gold River, Rocklin, and Midtown Sacramento. As a valued member of the team, the Optometrist will practice in a modern, state-of-the-art clinic, providing comprehensive eye care to a diverse patient population of all ages and conditions. The role involves utilizing advanced diagnostic technology and educating patients on ocular health and vision-enhancing solutions within a collaborative and innovative environment. This full-time position requires working five days a week for a total of 40 hours, with locations and hours varying across the different EYEcenter Optometric sites. The ideal candidate is an ambitious and compassionate Optometrist who strives to exceed patient expectations, provides personalized care, enjoys caring for diverse patients, is an excellent listener, and stays current with industry trends and technologies. The position is open to both recent graduates and experienced professionals.

Requirements

  • California-licensed Optometrist
  • Excellent clinical skills
  • Doctor of Optometry degree, O.D. including Third Party Administrator (TPA) certificate of licensure
  • 1-3 years of clinical practice experience (new graduates are encouraged to apply)
  • Current knowledge of Optometric technology and practices
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong management, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Strong business aptitude, self-discipline, and ability to deliver outstanding patient service

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive eye care to patients of all ages and conditions
  • Utilize advanced diagnostic technology, including retinal cameras, OCT, visual fields, and automated refracting systems
  • Educate patients about ocular health and recommend vision-enhancing solutions
  • Consistently exceed patient expectations while providing personalized and individualized care
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new products, and lens technologies
