About The Position

AvaMed Inc. is a leading Healthcare Staffing Agency specializing in placing qualified providers throughout California State Correctional Facilities. We are currently seeking an Optometrist for an assignment at the correctional facility in Corcoran, CA. Facility is accepting providers to work any day or days during the week. Job Details: Optometrist Corcoran, CA Any one or two days a week Monday - Friday 7:00am - 5:00pm Weekly Pay $110/hr 1099/Independent Contractor

Responsibilities

• Temporary/Relief Optometrist shall ensure that all ordered Optometry services will be scheduled consistent with the Optometry need. Once scheduled, service shall be delivered at the time scheduled unless unavoidable circumstances occur
• Temporary/Relief Optometrist will provide examination, diagnosis, treatment, prescription information, and simple repairs only, in accordance with Business and Professions Code § 3041 et al
• Temporary/Relief Optometrist will refer, upon approval of the Institution/Facility CEO/CME or designee, patient/youth for consultation, diagnosis, treatment(s), and/or surgery to contract physicians and/or healthcare facilities, Medical/surgical emergencies where contract provider(s) are not immediately available are exempt
• Temporary/Relief Optometrist shall maintain continuity of all work performed from start to finish
• Temporary/Relief Optometrist shall provide Optometry visual services and diagnoses and treatment for the following specific conditions: allergies, infectious diseases, and non-systematic inflammations of the conjunctiva, using diagnostic agents and topical products; e.g., miotics, lubricants, nonsteroidal anti-allergy agents, non-steroidal anti-inflammatories, antibiotic agents, and hyperosmotics, in accordance with Chapter 7 of the Business and Professional Code and National Standards
