University Optometry, a multi-location practice located in Palo Alto, California, is expanding its team by adding a full-time optometrist to support two locations. The practice specializes in managing primary eye care, specialty contact lens fittings, geriatric care, and management of ocular diseases. Through the combination of a caring team of professionals, exemplary service, and cutting-edge technologies, the business continues to grow and is seeking an Optometrist to join the team. What you'll do: As a full-time floating optometrist, you will focus on providing comprehensive ocular health services while also educating patients to empower them to make informed decisions about their eye care. As part of a passionate, collaborative team, you will leverage state-of-the-art technology, including Optos and OCT, to provide outstanding patient care. In this position, you will play a vital role supporting two different practices, ensuring high-quality vision services across multiple locations. Each day will consist of 8 hours of patient-facing care with 22 available slots, at least 16 of which will be dedicated to exams. This full-time role offers a generous compensation package that includes a production bonus, paid time off, medical, dental, and vision insurance, continuing education allowance, and malpractice insurance. Requirements

  • Doctor of Optometry degree, O.D. including Third Party Administrator (TPA) certificate of licensure
  • 1-3 years of clinical practice experience with current knowledge of Optometric technology and practices; new graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong management, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Strong business aptitude, self-discipline, and ability to deliver outstanding patient service
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of his/her job duties
