About The Position

Overview: Snapscale is seeking a skilled and experienced Optometrist (Teleconsultant) to provide high-quality remote clinical support to U.S.-based eye care clinics through secure telehealth platforms. The ideal candidate will deliver accurate refractions, guide patients through virtual vision assessments, and ensure thorough documentation in EMR systems—all while upholding exceptional standards of professionalism and patient care. Prior experience in teleconsultation is strongly preferred.

Requirements

• Must hold a Doctor of Optometry (OD) or an equivalent degree recognized in the Philippines.
• Teleconsultation experience is highly preferred.
• At least 2 year of practical experience in clinical optometry or refraction.
• Strong command of English , both verbal and written.
• Demonstrates excellent communication skills , professionalism, and strong attention to detail.
• Amenable to working night shifts in alignment with U.S. time zones.
• Open to completing HIPAA and telehealth compliance training requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with digital or automated phoropters is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive and precise refractions using digital or manual phoropters.
• Deliver remote optometry support to U.S. clinics via secure and compliant telehealth systems.
• Guide patients through virtual vision assessments with clarity, empathy, and professionalism.
• Accurately document clinical findings and patient data within EMR systems.
• Communicate effectively with patients, on-site clinical staff, and remote care teams.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor technical issues to ensure seamless telehealth sessions.
• Maintain strict patient confidentiality, uphold accurate record-keeping, and consistently demonstrate exceptional patient care.
