Department: 05591 WFBMG University Group Practice: WFBMC Main - Optometry: Optical Shop Status: Full time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hou rs Per Week: 40 Schedule Details/Additional Information: Monday thru Friday Pay Range $20.40 - $30.60 EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Three years' experience working in an optical shop. LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION: Current CPR certification. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Assists customers with selection of frames and lens style. Takes measurements for seg height and pupil distance, making necessary adjustments. Checks-in glass repair and adjustment orders. Maintains thorough understanding of types of glasses, available brands, new available features, etc. in order to provide guidance to patients in making decisions. Answers phone, retrieve sand files medical records, notifies patients when contacts/glasses are ready. Performs routine maintenance, i.e. repairs, cleaning, and adjustments on equipment. Receives payments and posts, including running credit cards for approval. Checks patients in and out. Makes patient appointments using off site scheduling system. Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
