Position Overview The person in this position is responsible for conducting research on next-generation data transmission concepts for high-capacity undersea fiber-optic communication systems. This role supports development and research initiatives across the organization that require deep technical expertise in optical communications, including fiber-optic system design, test equipment, optical amplifiers, components, and automation. Success in this role requires the ability to perform experimental research related to various aspects of optical transmission systems, monitoring and sensing schemes, and automation technologies.
