About The Position

Alliance Technical Group is hiring an Optical Gas Imaging (OGI) Technician to join our growing team! This role requires regular travel across the U.S., often to rural oil and gas production facilities. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with mechanical aptitude, oilfield operations experience, or environmental fieldwork exposure to enter the growing field of optical gas imaging. On-the-job training will be provided to equip new hires with the necessary technical skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience using Optical Gas Imaging cameras
Familiarity with oil and gas production equipment
Background in oilfield maintenance mechanics or operations
Experience working with tanks, batteries, compressor stations, or gas plants
Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record

Responsibilities

Conduct Optical Gas Imaging surveys in oil and gas production environments using FLIR or similar thermal imaging equipment (training provided)
Assist with emissions testing and related environmental monitoring tasks
Operate and maintain field equipment and instrumentation
Document findings and follow standard reporting procedures
Adhere to safety protocols and client-specific site requirements
Travel extensively to sites across the country, often in rural locations
Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate data collection and client satisfaction
