About The Position

The Operations Specialist II is a mid-level role responsible for managing insurance compliance for a designated portfolio of commercial mortgage loans. This position requires independent analysis of insurance documents, coordination with internal and external stakeholders, and oversight of escrow disbursements and casualty loss claims.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of commercial property insurance or related experience (required)
  • Legal document review and interpretation (required)
  • Evaluates insurance policies and documents for regulatory and loan-specific requirements.
  • Manages servicing tasks for commercial mortgage portfolios.
  • Oversees disbursements and force-placed insurance for escrowed loans.
  • Handles inspections, documentation, and disbursements related to property damage claims.
  • Reviews and interprets legal and insurance documents independently.
  • Maintains precise insurance data in servicing systems.
  • Utilizes spreadsheets and documents for analysis and reporting.
  • Interfaces with borrowers, agents, and insurers to resolve issues.
  • Manages multiple deadlines and shifting priorities effectively.
  • Works with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.
  • Applies strong risk culture in decision-making and compliance.
  • Identifies and supports improvements in operational workflows.
  • Understands and evaluates servicing systems and data flows.
  • Delivers high-quality service aligned with customer-centric values.
  • Executes responsibilities with precision and accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze insurance policies, appraisals, and operating statements for compliance
  • Maintain accurate insurance data in the servicing system
  • Manage escrow disbursements and force-placed insurance processes
  • Ensure adequate insurance coverage for non-escrowed loans
  • Administer casualty loss claims, including inspections and disbursements
  • Communicate with borrowers, agents, and insurers to resolve issues
  • Collaborate with internal departments to address discrepancies
  • Performs other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice
