About The Position

The OPS Research Technician will assist with experimental research activities and provide technical support for graduate students and postdoctoral researchers. Responsibilities include preparing reagents and samples, assisting with synthetic and analytical experiments, maintaining laboratory equipment, and organizing laboratory supplies and documentation. The technician will also contribute to routine characterization of compounds using techniques such as NMR spectroscopy, UV–Vis spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, and other analytical methods commonly used in supramolecular and organic chemistry research. Additional duties include supporting the preparation of host–guest binding studies, assisting with solution preparation and sample handling, maintaining accurate experimental records, and helping ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols. The technician may also assist with basic data processing, inventory management, and preparation of materials for group research activities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three years of laboratory or research experience
  • College coursework in a natural or physical science may be substituted for the required experience on a year for year basis
