About The Position

The ImagingNMD research team is seeking multiple full-time Research Assistants to join our team in the Department of Physical Therapy, College of Public Health and Health Professions. Located in Dauer Hall and/or the Clinical Translational Research Building on the UF campus. The incumbents will assist Research Coordinators and Faculty with the implementation of research activities for both industry and NIH-sponsored clinical studies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and 1-2 years of experience.
  • Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute for the required experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Working Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Previous experience working with children.
  • Ability to effectively interact and communicate with subjects and other study research team members.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring and review of study data, including management of clinical data such as MRI images, physical function testing, and medical history information. Monitoring and distribution of data reports to internal and external recipients.
  • Assistance in conducting study visits for patients enrolled in clinical research studies, including assistance with scheduling and tracking visits and the collection of study data, such as magnetic resonance imaging and functional data. This includes entering data on case report forms or into a computerized database, reviewing data for accuracy and completeness, interacting with patients, families, and other research staff in a professional manner, and escorting the patients/families between appointments as well as in the magnet (MRI) room.
  • Preparation and maintenance of study binders/folders and assistance with the coordination of subject visits. This includes communication with MRI facility staff, Clinical Research staff, and other key personnel. Prior to and following each study visit, documents will need to be prepared, reviewed, organized, and filed accurately to maintain reliable records.
  • Manual data analysis, including visual identification of designated anatomical regions on collected MRI images.
  • Assistance with meetings/conferences, ordering supplies, and distribution of documents to collaborators at other institutions. This includes the assembling of meeting/conference materials, creation of study binders, ordering materials, and other administrative and logistical tasks.
  • Complete other tasks as needed.
