This position performs clinical nursing duties for the Department of Health in Collier County (DOH-Collier) across various programs including Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD), Employee Health, Family Planning, Immunizations, and Adult Health, with a primary focus on Infectious Disease (HIV/AIDS). The role requires the ability to work independently within the scope of practice for described duties and to coordinate daily clinic activities with providers such as the Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) and Medical Doctor (MD) staff. The incumbent is at risk for exposure to respiratory and bloodborne pathogens, necessitating an annual TB assessment and recommended vaccinations. This position contributes to the organization’s culture of performance excellence by actively seeking to improve personal and organizational performance through measurement, analysis, knowledge management, and process improvements, and by participating in performance management committees, councils, and/or workgroups. The role continuously demonstrates the Department’s ICARE values and reports to the Community Health Nursing Consultant. The position is expected to work 24-32 hours per week.
