About The Position

Tallahassee State College (TSC), recently recognized as one of the Most Promising Places to Work in Community Colleges for 2025, is excited to announce a part-time opportunity for the position of OPS Maintenance Technician with the Facilities Department. We are seeking a dedicated professional who shares our commitment to fostering a vibrant workplace community. As OPS Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and preventative maintenance on buildings and equipment including electrical, plumbing, sheetrock, masonry and related components. The day-to-day responsibilities will include: Operates, maintains, and repairs HVAC systems and components including building automation systems. Operates and maintains vehicles including tractors, forklifts, boom lifts, loaders, large trucks, and motorized carts. Maintains small equipment used in the maintenance area. Requirements

  • High School or GED is preferred.
  • Experience in at least three of the following areas: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, electronics, carpentry/masonry, AutoCAD or equivalent Computer Aided Drafting / Drawing Program.

Responsibilities

  • Operates, maintains, and repairs HVAC systems and components including building automation systems.
  • Operates and maintains vehicles including tractors, forklifts, boom lifts, loaders, large trucks, and motorized carts.
  • Maintains small equipment used in the maintenance area.
