About The Position

Job Purpose: Job Responsibilities: ● Complete digital print production jobs on various types of digital printing press and cutting machines. ● Read and understand job tickets for stock and color instructions to ensure each job is produced to customer specifications, meeting internal and external deadlines. ● Complete all required production logs and documentation. ● Work with manager to interpret equipment diagnostics, troubleshoots breakdowns, and makes necessary adjustment to complete the job. ● Perform regular maintenance, cleaning, and changeovers of press from one job to another. ● Supervise daily activities of a production area to ensure that volume, cost, waste, and quality standards are achieved. ● Ensure that digital press work is properly planned and distributed, that production is achieved according to schedule, that quality standards are met, that efficient work procedures are developed and followed, and that good relations with other departments and customers are maintained. ● Help create an uncompromising culture of ‘Safety First’ incorporating shop floor organization, housekeeping and cleanliness within Digital Department. Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications: Digital Lead Operator Seeking a person to operate and maintain digital printing equipment, help supervise and support the team in our digital press room and assist the Digital Manager in the day-to-day operations. Reports to: Digital Manager Location: Clifton, NJ Travel Requirement: 0% Salaried/Hourly: Hourly What You’ll be Responsible For (Essential Job functions) Complete digital print production jobs on various types of digital printing press machines. Review job specifications, complete setup tasks, include filling ink, calibrating machine, and loading stock. Perform in-process quality inspection utilizing standard testing protocols. Complete all required production logs and documentation. Works with manager to interpret equipment diagnostics, troubleshoots breakdowns, and makes necessary adjustment to complete the job. Perform regular maintenance, cleaning, and changeovers of press from one job to another. What We’re Looking For Required Experience and Education: High school diploma or equivalent Minimum 3+ years experience in digital printing –operating and maintaining machines Knowledge of Pre-Press Experience managing labor teams Strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Knowledge operating Vutek, Reggiani, and Monti machines Experience with Monarch software Ability to identify problems/issue and come up with creative solutions on your own High attentional to detail and ability to multi-task Ability to work part of a team Physical Demands & Work Environment The physical demands and work environment are representative of those a team member encounters while performing the essential duties. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3+ years experience in digital printing –operating and maintaining machines
  • Knowledge of Pre-Press
  • Experience managing labor teams
