About The Position

Talent Consultants is looking for a skilled Ophthalmologist to join our client's team. In this role, you will diagnose and treat a variety of eye disorders, provide surgical and non-surgical options, and enhance the quality of patients' vision care. Requirements

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
Board certification in Ophthalmology.
Active state medical license and DEA registration.
Completion of a residency program in Ophthalmology.
A minimum of 3 years of experience as a practicing Ophthalmologist preferred.
Proficient in both surgical and medical management of ocular conditions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient education and care.
Commitment to high standards of patient safety and quality of care.
Willingness to engage in continuing education and stay informed about advancements in the field.
BLS and ACLS certifications are required.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess visual acuity and detect eye diseases.
Diagnose and manage conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, retinal disorders, and macular degeneration.
Perform surgical procedures such as cataract extraction, corneal transplants, and laser vision correction.
Utilize diagnostic equipment, including fundus cameras, optical coherence tomography (OCT), and visual field analyzers.
Provide pre- and post-operative care for surgical patients.
Advise patients on eye health maintenance and treatment options.
Coordinate with optometrists and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated patient care.
Stay updated with advances in ophthalmology and implement best practices in patient care.
Participate in community outreach programs to promote eye health awareness.
