About The Position

Talent Consultants is looking for a skilled Ophthalmologist to join our client's team. In this role, you will diagnose and treat a variety of eye disorders, provide surgical and non-surgical options, and enhance the quality of patients' vision care. You will work in a collaborative environment, combining expertise with advanced technology to provide comprehensive services related to eye health. As an Ophthalmologist with Talent Consultants, you will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to improving the lives of patients through exceptional eye care.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Board certification in Ophthalmology.
  • Active state medical license and DEA registration.
  • Completion of a residency program in Ophthalmology.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a practicing Ophthalmologist preferred.
  • Proficient in both surgical and medical management of ocular conditions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient education and care.
  • Commitment to high standards of patient safety and quality of care.
  • Willingness to engage in continuing education and stay informed about advancements in the field.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications are required.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess visual acuity and detect eye diseases.
  • Diagnose and manage conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, retinal disorders, and macular degeneration.
  • Perform surgical procedures such as cataract extraction, corneal transplants, and laser vision correction.
  • Utilize diagnostic equipment, including fundus cameras, optical coherence tomography (OCT), and visual field analyzers.
  • Provide pre- and post-operative care for surgical patients.
  • Advise patients on eye health maintenance and treatment options.
  • Coordinate with optometrists and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated patient care.
  • Stay updated with advances in ophthalmology and implement best practices in patient care.
  • Participate in community outreach programs to promote eye health awareness.
