About The Position

This is an opportunity for a Cornea Surgeon to join a thriving, energetic ophthalmology practice. The role involves collaborating with world-class surgeons and dedicated support staff, all focused on transforming lives through exceptional eye care. As an ophthalmologist specializing in cornea and anterior segment surgery, the surgeon will be responsible for restoring vision, improving quality of life for patients with corneal disorders, and evaluating/diagnosing a wide range of corneal and anterior segment conditions to determine surgical needs. The position requires utilizing advanced surgical techniques including corneal transplantation (PK, DSAEK, DMEK), pterygium excision, and anterior segment reconstruction. The surgeon will also perform comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative assessments, conduct precise, minimally invasive procedures, and provide attentive post-operative care. Collaboration with a dynamic team of surgeons, optometrists, technicians, scribes, and front office staff is essential to deliver comprehensive corneal and anterior segment care, treating various ophthalmic cases with an emphasis on corneal disorders, ocular surface disease, complex anterior segment pathology, and refractive surgeries like LASIK and PRK. The practice offers a high patient volume from day one, cutting-edge technology, and a dynamic, supportive team environment.

Requirements

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Ophthalmology

Responsibilities

  • Restore vision and improve the quality of life for patients with corneal disorders and anterior segment disease
  • Evaluate and diagnose a wide range of corneal and anterior segment conditions, determining when surgical intervention is needed
  • Utilize advanced surgical techniques including corneal transplantation (PK, DSAEK, DMEK), pterygium excision, and anterior segment reconstruction
  • Perform comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative assessments to ensure optimal outcomes for corneal and refractive procedures
  • Conduct precise, minimally invasive corneal and anterior segment surgical procedures
  • Provide attentive post-operative care, monitoring corneal healing and vision recovery
  • Collaborate with a dynamic team of surgeons, optometrists, technicians, scribes, and front office staff to deliver comprehensive corneal and anterior segment care
  • Treat a wide range of ophthalmic cases, with emphasis on corneal disorders, ocular surface disease, complex anterior segment pathology, and refractive surgeries such as LASIK and PRK
