Requirements
- High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and staff.
Nice To Haves
- One (1) year of health related or patient care experience.
- Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.
Responsibilities
- Conduct preliminary patient interviews and record relevant data such as chief complaint, health history, medications, and allergies for the physician's review.
- Measure vitals when necessary.
- Prepare patient and exam rooms for all procedures and provide assistance to physicians for procedures.
- Clean and restock exam rooms including restock of supplies, equipment and medications.
- Review expiration dates of supplies and medication and take appropriate action.
- Assist physicians as required and perform all other duties as assigned.
- Conduct a variety of eye examinations and testing as directed by physician.
- May complete unit/department specific duties and expectations as outlined in department documents.
