About The Position

Montgomery Eye Physicians is a practice dedicated to providing state-of-the-art eye care to patients of all ages, offering services from routine eye exams, glasses, and contact lenses to advanced surgeries like no-stitch cataract, Lasik, corneal transplant, and Glaucoma Surgery across Central Alabama and the River Region. The Ophthalmic Technician will support a high-volume ophthalmic practice focused on delivering quality and compassionate complete eye care services to each patient.

Requirements

Dependable transportation required to travel to other offices as required
Must be flexible with traveling to various locations
Ability to pay attention to detail
Ability to maintain confidentiality
The ability to seek instruction in areas where he/she is not knowledgeable
The ability to recognize inconsistencies
Graduation from an accredited high school

Responsibilities

Customer service skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Degree of independent decision-making
Obtaining and documenting patient history
Determining visual acuity
Performing automated refraction
Administering eye drops, ointments, and irrigating solutions to the eye as ordered by physician
Performing office duties and clinical tasks - entering data into EMR
Providing patient services
Maintaining equipment and instruments
