Georgia Retina, one of the largest retina-only medical practices in the Southeast, provides patients with advanced medical treatments for retinal diseases and disorders. With over 200 years of combined experience, their board-certified ophthalmologists offer world-class expertise and a personalized approach to patient care across 13 Metro Atlanta area locations. The company is hiring an Ophthalmic Technician to support a high-volume ophthalmic practice, focusing on delivering quality and compassionate complete eye care services to each patient.
Requirements
- Customer service skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Degree of independent decision-making
- Dependable transportation required to travel to other offices as required
- Must be flexible with traveling to various locations
- Ability to pay attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- The ability to seek instruction in areas where he/she is not knowledgeable
- The ability to recognize inconsistencies
- Graduation from an accredited high school
Responsibilities
- Obtaining and documenting patient history
- Determining visual acuity
- Performing automated refraction
- Administering eye drops, ointments, and irrigating solutions to the eye as ordered by physician
- Performing office duties and clinical tasks - entering data into EMR
- Providing patient services
- Maintaining equipment and instruments
