About The Position

Retina Care Specialist of Florida offers state-of-the-art vitreoretinal care, with all physicians trained at renowned retina and ophthalmology programs. The practice provides various diagnostic procedures and focuses on disorders of the eye. The Ophthalmic Technician will support a high-volume ophthalmic practice, focusing on providing quality and compassionate care to patients needing complete eye care services.

• Graduation from an accredited high school

Nice To Haves

• 2 to 3 years of ophthalmic or optometric technician experience
• COA preferred

Responsibilities

• Obtaining and documenting patient history
• Determining visual acuity
• Performing automated refraction
• Administering eye drops, ointments, and irrigating solutions to the eye as ordered by physician
• Performing office duties and clinical tasks - entering data into EMRP
• Providing patient services
• Measurement of intraocular pressure (tonometry)
• Pre-operative preparation of patient
• Maintaining equipment and instruments
