Organization: VEI Campus Job Summary: Performs standard photographic work for diagnostic, historical, and educational purposes for patients and research activities with some guidance. Performs clinical support duties as requested. Performs other clinical support duties as requested.

Requirements

  • Ophthalmic Photography (Novice): Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate competency of photography in practical applications of moderate difficulty. Generally works under the direction of others while accomplishing assignments.
  • Customer Service (Novice): Demonstrates the ability to influence customers. Knows how to verify and clarify the needs and expectations of customers. Responds quickly and efficiently to customer service requests. Participates in and conducts meetings with customers. Keeps customers informed of status via standard reporting techniques. Meets the continuing service needs of a customer group, including requests for changes in work content. Responds to customers with an appropriate level of urgency, energy, persistence and tenacity.
  • Ophthalmic Disorders (Novice): Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate the knowledge/care of ophthalmic disorders in practical applications of moderate difficulty. Generally works under the direction of others while accomplishing assignments.
  • Patient Documentation (Novice): Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate patient documentation in practical applications of moderate difficulty. Generally works under the direction of others while accomplishing assignments.
  • Work Experience: Relevant Work Experience Experience Level : 1 year
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

  • Photographs, records and documents ophthalmic procedures to aid in the diagnosis of ocular pathology.
  • Assist faculty, residents, and technical staff with daily photographic needs as directed.
  • Interacts with the patient in a professional manner using AIDET techniques.
  • Maintains clean working environment, stocked rooms, equipment, and EOC guidelines.
