JOB SUMMARY The Ophthalmic Photographer will be based in the Clinical Research Unit (CRU) within the Department of Ophthalmology and will support a broad range of clinical research activities while providing high-quality patient care and advanced ophthalmic imaging. This role includes performing ophthalmic examinations such as obtaining detailed medical and ocular histories, medication reconciliation, visual acuity measurements (including BCVA and ETDRS), assessment of motility, pupils, and confrontation visual fields, manual refractions, tonometry, lensometry, Humphrey Visual Field testing, and administration of ophthalmic drops per protocol. The individual will provide photography and imaging services in both the CRU and general ophthalmology clinic as assigned, capturing high-quality images using multiple imaging modalities including Heidelberg OCT, Optovue OCT-A, Humphrey Visual Field, Oculus Pentacam, specular microscopy, fundus photography, fluorescein angiography (FA), indocyanine green angiography (ICG), slit lamp photography, and additional investigational or non–FDA-approved devices required by study protocols, as well as performing other photography-related duties in the clinic as needed to support clinical operations. Responsibilities also include supporting electronic data capture (EDC), maintaining research documentation and data management, assisting with device certification and calibration, ensuring study-specific imaging compliance, and performing other duties as assigned.
