About The Position

Under the direction of Road Superintendent, installs traffic signs; conducts traffic counts and assists in surveys and road rating. Sweeping, mowing, and snow plowing. May on occasion fill in at the Crusher Pit. Secondary responsibilities include: operating trucks, front-end loaders and other heavy equipment to maintain and/or construct roads and related facilities and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Must have knowledge of Placement of road signs and regulations pertaining to same (MUTCD).
Must have the ability to: Perform heavy physical tasks; Operate heavy equipment; Obtain liability insurance under Lake County's general liability policy;
Three years of experience in road and/or bridge construction.
