Work Location is at 605 Territorial Dr. Bolingbrook, IL 60440 Work hours are 2:30pm - 11:30pm CT with overtime and weekends as needed Summary/Objective: The Operator I, Mail Finishing is responsible for individual activities related to cutting and folding direct mail pieces. Joining within and complying with all Bolingbrook operational processes and procedures. Essential Functions: Operating and setting up Tecnau & Hunkeler finishing lines. Operating and setting up traditional cutters and folders in bindery. Enter data into ERP monitoring overall performance, efficiency, and quality. Perform equipment start-up, shut-down and preventive maintenance. Sample and monitor product quality coming off the system, making modifications as needed. Troubleshoot finishing line performance and quality problems, correcting them and stabilizing performance as they occur. Replenish materials ongoing as materials are depleted. Mains production, efficiency and quality records related to the finishing / bindery operation. Supports the manufacture of personal products through a continuous production operation, requiring an understanding of work methods and procedures as well as various binding machines. Work is typically routine, although some discretion may be allowed. Applies limited knowledge and expertise applicable to specialty for the implementation of predominantly short-term tasks and projects for business needs. Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Effective process management skills.

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to document regular activities and e-mail correspondence.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Strong organizational skills and an ability to multi-task.
  • Aptitude for accuracy and a meticulous eye for detail.
  • Work independently.
  • Must be able to be able to stand on feet for at least 8 hours/day
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
