This role operates with minimal supervision and follows established procedures to ensure accuracy, safety, and compliance. The position requires working knowledge of standard shipping principles, SAP and Atrion transactions, hazardous materials regulations, and forklift operation.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of warehouse experience.
  • Ability to operate a stand‑up forklift.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Strong math, organizational, and documentation skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Shipping experience, including hazardous materials handling.

Responsibilities

  • Pull orders for shipment using the FIFO method to ensure proper inventory rotation.
  • Prepare all required shipping documentation, including packing slips, Bills of Lading, bar code labels, and HazMat paperwork for domestic and export shipments.
  • Arrange carrier pickups and shipments (FedEx and preferred carriers).
  • Process shipments of totes, drums, raw materials, and supplies; put materials into designated stock locations.
  • Track shipments for customers and internal sites; communicate shipment status to manufacturing supervisors, customers, and in‑plants.
  • Process non‑conforming return materials.
  • Perform data entry to support shipping, receiving, and manufacturing functions.
  • Print labels, packing slips, and enter required information into SAP and Atrion.
  • Notify supervisor or Inventory Controller of any incomplete or unfilled orders.
  • Follow all company quality, environmental, safety, and departmental policies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked work area; follow 5S standards.
  • Correctly operate a forklift in all departmental applications.
  • Actively participate in on‑the‑job and formal training sessions.
  • Maintain required certifications: DOT/HazMat (Department of Transportation/Hazardous Materials)
  • Wear required PPE and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Follow ISO procedures where applicable and stay current on updates.
  • Investigate shortages and escalate issues as needed.
  • Manage department supplies and place orders with supervisory approval.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, support problem‑solving, and contribute to a positive team environment.
