The Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring various equipment throughout the production process to maintain consistent product quality and minimize unplanned downtime. Collaborate closely with team members and support personnel to ensure efficient, continuous production of high-quality products with minimal waste of time and materials. This position is on site.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in heavy industry, construction, manufacturing, or a related field
  • Basic computer literacy, including the ability to navigate HMIs or similar systems
  • Fundamental mechanical skills and a strong mechanical aptitude
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

  • Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot production equipment; perform routine and preventive maintenance as required.
  • Collaborate with the shift coordinator and department manager to reduce downtime and enhance equipment reliability.
  • Follow all company and department safety, housekeeping, and environmental policies and procedures; actively participate in safety meetings and initiatives; identify, report, and help eliminate workplace hazards.
  • Support quality assurance efforts and participate in continuous improvement activities.
  • Complete all required training within designated timelines.
  • Operate overhead cranes and forklifts (if certified.)
  • Perform inventory control tasks, including tracking, recording, and material handling.
  • Load and unload materials onto trucks and/or railcars safely and efficiently.
  • Operate process control equipment through Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs.)
